Switch Milk Formula Progressively

If you have to switch formula for your baby, do it progressively. Begin by mixing the new milk formula with the original milk formula in a bottle feed, with approximately 1/3 containing the new and 2/3 the original milk formula. Gradually increase dosage of the new milk formula over the week until the the total switch is complete.

Switching milk formula progressively helps baby's stomach adjust to the new diet. A sudden complete change without transition may cause some babies to have discomfort.
