I Need a Company-Part II

Phew for mum it's just a phase for a week. I am back to my normal routine of sleeping by myself through the night now although there are still days I will try to be funny and need a company. Well, this is part of growing up I guess, even I cannot explain my inconsistent behaviour =)

I Need a Company

I have been sleeping on my own since 3 months old in my own room and have been able to sleep through the night since 5 months. I do wake up in the midde of the night occasionally and need a hug or pat but I am generally easy to pacify.

For the past week, however, I have been quite insecure in my night sleep. I needed someone to accompany me, not just to sit beside my bed, which began with that, but someone must touch me or I must be able to feel and see someone close to me before I stop fussing. Even if I do sleep by myself, I have been waking up more often in the middle of the night requiring a company before I fall asleep again.

Mum is wondering why and if only I can verbalize my thoughts and feelings. Mum guesses that perhaps now that I am older, I know how to feel scared and insecure; she also guesses it could be me teething or a passing phase.

I know my parents are thinking of either letting me fuss and cry should this carry on so I may overcome this habit or continue to support me with their tired physical presence whenever I fuss. Of course I am hoping very hard it will be the latter.....

Latest Expression

Recently, I have been liking to act very surprise whenever small thing happens, eg. dropping or toppling of something be it a toy, food or something that goes out of slight alignment. And I'm trying to be cheeky by smiling it off with my hand covering my mouth, hee hee....!

Month of August

The month of August is filled with short trips. Went on a total of 3 trips.

First was to Bangkok - it was a 3D2N trip where we stayed at the Grand Diamond Suites. It wasn't really that grand but it is like a mini apartment and is located right beside the big wholesale mall - Pratunam Complex.

Pulling drawers---------------Playing with dustbin

This was my first trip overseas by aeroplane and my parents thought I did quite well with the flights both to and return. A passenger uncle even commented I was a GOOD TRAVELLOR!*proud*

The trip was quite enjoyable, with many things to see, many things to eat, although it was a little tiring for me with all the shopping and even more so as I caught a flu virus on the second day *gua gua* Nonetheless, it was a good experience for me and my parents too! ;)

Seeing that I was recovering well from flu, Dad & Mum decided with the Hong Kong trip, which was in the pipeline of the original travel plans. Popo and Yipo Diana joined us in this trip where we got a connecting room at the Regal Hong Kong Hotel. I find this hotel much nicer than the one in Bangkok - more so as I have more space to toggle around 2 rooms!

I had great fun pulling out the hand receiver from the telephone, pressing buttons on the bedside consol for room lighting control and I just love exploring the bathroom, which made the adults quite mad at some point that they decided to have the bathroom door closed.

Hong Kong is such a fast paced country. Many things to see and eat and shop til drop but the sad thing was my flu worsened. Mucus was non-stop and phlegmy cough developed and I was more uncomfortable. I even visited a 24-hr clinic at the St. Paul Hospital beside the hotel.

Despite my health condition, I was still very keen to get out of the hotel although some of the sightseeing plans were cancelled as my folks think more rest was better for me. Flight back from Hong Kong was terrible...! I fussed and screamed almost the whole flight back! Mum could not even have her meal properly. Nobody commented I was a good travellor this time :(

Well again, all was improving upon returnce to my sweet home and my sweet room. Initially, I overheard my parents saying that's it, no more trips for me since I was unwell so they shelved the Genting trip plan. But hey, how can I be so inconsiderate so to ensure the trip happens, I made great effort to have myself get well. I was very cooperative when taking medicine, I took every drop of it, even wanting more, if the adults allowed (alright mum, I know I was just being greedy...).

And so, Genting happened.

This was a road trip, like the last time and we stayed at the same hotel - Resort Hotel. Given this was my 2nd time there, I pretty much saw what I have seen the last time except for the casinos. This trip was with more people, besides my family, we have Popo, Yipo Diana & Amy, Yigong Wenrong & JK and Didi came with us too. Quite a pleasant trip. And I think this should conclude travelling for the year =)
